Zoe Lee Slaydon

Zoe Lee Marcus Slaydon, 91, of Merryville, LA went to her eternal home late January 1, 2025, she was born on April 17, 1933, in Longville, LA. She lived in Baton Rouge, LA and graduated from Istrouma High School in 1951. She loved the Lord and was a Sunday School teacher at both Merryville First Baptist Church and Green Oak Baptist Church, where she was a longtime member. She was a Sunday School teacher for many many years. She very much loved swimming and just being outside whenever she got the chance. She was the co-owner of Slaydon Grocery in Merryville, LA. The store was her and her late husband, C.E. Slaydon, Jr.'s life and she enjoyed serving the community through the store in any way she could. 

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Slaydon Eaves (Dale) of Maumelle, AR; sons, Carlos Slaydon ((Melissa) of Many, LA, and Lyndon Slaydon (Stephanie) of Houston ,TX; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; sister, Brenda Marcus Hill (Michael) of Many, LA.; sister- in-law, Carol Marcus of Baton Rouge, LA and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her husband C.E. "Buddy" Slaydon, Jr. and seven siblings.

No services will be held at this time. Cremation has been entrusted to Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.
