Zela Gill Jordan

Zela “Pete” Jordan, 86, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Sunday, March 21, 2021.

“Pete” loved to bake, cook and pick blueberries, she also enjoyed the Polka Party and watching the Game Show Network. She loved spending time with her grandkids, great grandkids, nieces and nephews. They would play cards, throw rocks in the creek, plant gardens, pick blueberries and play ball. “Pete” loved to travel and recently loved just riding around with Carla. She was a faithful member of Smyrna Baptist Church and was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Carla Mason of Shreveport, LA; granddaughters, Leslie Martin and T.J. of Gray, TX, Brittany Mason of Vivian, LA, Jordi Thompson and Wade of Texarkana, AR; great grandchildren, Braylen Hindsman, Miley Martin, Addy Mae Martin, Julian Martin; a host of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Carl Jordan; son-in-law, Les Mason; parents, John S. and Irene Gill; brother, Aubrey Gill and Delora; twin sister, Lela Gill; sister, Iva Faye Ashworth.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 from 12:00 PM until the time of service at 2:00 PM at Smyrna Baptist Church in DeRidder, LA. Brother Tim Lee and Brother Frank Ott will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be T.J. Martin, Wade Thompson, David Anderson, Brady Ashworth, Brent Mason, Kenny Shaw. Honorary Pallbearers will be Braylen Hindsman, Julian Martin. Burial will follow at Smyrna Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
