Willean Dillon was born March 25, 1938 in Tylertown, MS. She attended Hope Vocational School in Tylertown as well. Early on in her life, she chose to reside in New Orleans. Throughout her life, she worked in various positions, but was mainly a plant worker. She attended New Zion Baptist Church in New Orleans but when she moved to DeRidder, joined Beech Grove Baptist Church.
Willean Dillon is survived by her daughter, Juanita Jones and Hosie, Jr. of DeRidder, LA; her son, Willie Peters and Connie of Birmingham, AL; her daughter, Lynette Peters also of Birmingham, AL; her son Charles Peters and Christie of Hattiesburg, MS; her sisters, Helen Gardner of Oakland, CA, and Thelma Terrell and Mason of New Llano, LA; sister-in-law, Irma J. Lumpkin; her special nephew, Roy Gardner BNA: Red Bean; her nieces, Felicia Charles and Vanetta Evans; special friend, Elizabeth Maxie; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Julia Dillon; her husband, Zoro Peters; her brothers, J.W. Dillon and S.W. Dillon and her four children.
