Wesley Ann "Papoose" Lafleur Harvey

Wesley Ann “Papoose” LaFleur Harvey, 85, of Evans, LA, passed from this life on Thursday, June 3, 2021.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, John “Kenny” Harvey and Kathy Stephens of Junction, LA, James Patrick Harvey and Nikki of Evans, LA, Michael O. Harvey and Rocky of Knight, LA; daughter, Leslie Choat and Kevin of DeRidder, LA grandchildren, Mavrick Harvey and Elizabeth, Chase Harvey and Maci, Russell Choat and Kayleigh, Elizabeth Choat, Katie Harvey and Harlie Harvey;  great grandchildren, Cole, Jaxson, Brylie, Bryce and two more on the way and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry O. “Sottie” Harvey.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral service will be Sunday, June 6, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Knight, LA. Pastors Paul Moore and Hurshel Davis will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Kenny Harvey, James Harvey, Mike Harvey, Russell Choat, Chase Harvey and Mavrick Harvey. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kevin Choat, Eric Duplechain, Johnny Bordelon and Bill Loftin. Burial will follow at Hinson Cemetery in Knight, LA.
