Webster “Buddy” Hickman, 76, of DeRidder, Louisiana passed from this life on Sunday, May 8, 2011 in Zachary, Louisiana. Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 from 5 P.M. to 9 P.M. at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, Louisiana. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 11 A.M. at Grabow United Pentecostal Church in DeRidder, Louisiana. Rev. Kenneth Gibson officiated. Interment followed at Old Cypress Cemetery in DeRidder.


He was a life, long resident of the DeRidder area. He was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict and was self employed as an Electrical & Plumbing Contractor. He served faithfully as a Minister of the Gospel for over 20 years at various Pentecostal churches throughout the area. He was a loving husband, daddy and grandfather.


He is survived by daughters: Connie & Michael McAllister of Liberty, MS & Shelia & Robert Pfantz of Zachary, LA; brothers: Garland Ray Hickman of DeRidder, LA, Prentiss Hickman of Florein, LA, Harvey Hickman of DeRidder, LA, George Hickman of DeRidder, LA & James Hickman of Florein, LA; sisters: Virginia Seale of Waldorf, MA, Opal Scott of Welch, LA & Patty Gonter of Houston, TX; grandchildren: Stefan Bo martensson, Jr., Daniel Webster Martenssonn, Kaylla M. Pfantz & Kristina M. Pfantz; great grandchildren: Joseph Cole Martensson & Alaiya McKayle Green and a host of nephews & nieces.Preceded in death by wife: Jimmie Lea Smith Hickman; parents: Clara & Garvis Hickman; great grandchild: Joshua Bryce Green.
