Wayne Ray Lawson, Sr., 75, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Sunday, February 4, 2024.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Tammy Wilson and Pete of DeRidder, LA; sons, Wayne Lawson, Jr. and Kaye of DeRidder, LA, Dennis Barnett of Starks, LA; grandchildren, Cody Wilson & Kailey, Blake Wilson & Ashley, Alissa Dearmon, Aliya Dearmon, Trace Dearmon, Kodee Trevino, Kaycee Anthony and Cody; great grandchildren, Abigail, McKenzie, Maddison, Emmett and a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Beatrice and George Smith; father, Luther Lawson; brother, Wendall Smith.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and continue Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 12:00 PM until the time of service at 2:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Brother Lyndon Longoria will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Cody Wilson, Blake Wilson, Dennis Barnett, Jimbo Wilson, Tim Scroggins, Trace Dearmon, Wylie Fletcher, Harvey Ashworth. Honorary Pallbearers will be Emmett Frazier, Joey Wilson, Scott Pousson. Burial will follow at Newlin Cemetery in Singer, LA.
