A celebration of life for Wanda Cooley Seale will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.
Wanda Cooley Seale, affectionately known as “Greatma” went to be with the Lord, Saturday, September 19, 2020.
She was born and raised in DeRidder, LA and was a faithful member of “The Gospel Lighthouse” and “Shady Grove Pentecostal Church” until moving to Lake Charles with her daughter Fontaine and son-in-law Bill Tabor. “Apostolic Temple” in Lake Charles became her church home for the latter 12 years of her life. She was especially close and appreciative of her nieces Franki Pilcher and Norma and husband Bernie Davis. Everywhere she went, Greatma was known as a consistent prayer warrior and leaves behind a legacy of faith, integrity, kindness and love.
Wanda is survived by her son, Bryant Seale and wife Virginia of Waldorf, MD;
daughter, Fontaine Tabor of Lake Charles, LA; brothers, Dale Cooley and Shirley of Kinder, LA; Dallas Cooley and wife Shirley of Kinder, LA; three granddaughters, Sierra, Sonja and Shannon; one grandson, Heath Tabor and wife Jackie of Lake Charles, LA; Greatma also has 9 surviving great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Millard Seale; parents, Rev. Thomas S. Cooley and Bertha Gunter Cooley; brothers, Carl, Maurice and Covington Cooley; sisters, Lois and Martha; grandson, Damone Tabor; great-great granddaughter Chandale Dillion and son-in-law, Bill Tabor.
