Walter Lee McKnight, 69, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Tuesday, February 14, 2017.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Angela McKnight; sons, Derrick McKnight and Knicholaus Black; daughters, LTC Shawana McKnight-Brazzle and Christal Edwards; godchildren, Marquis Johnson and Artemese Carhee; 18 siblings, Katie Reliford, Frederick McKnight, Jr., Willie McKnight, Ivery Moore, Sr., Rose Maxie, Stanley Moore, Richard Moore, Roosevelt Moore, Sr., Leona Moore, Barbra Moore, Adeline Moore, Georgia Moore, Bertha Bradley, Allison Paul, Dionne McKnight, Donna Drayton, Danny McKnight and David McKnight; sister-in-law, Verdell Silas; brother-in-laws, James Galloway and Fredrick Galloway; grandchildren, Cortez Brazzle, Jyrin Brazzle, Jaylen Brazzle and Kaiden Black; a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; father, Frederick McKnight, Sr. and mother, Pearl Moore.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, February 20, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Sunrise Missionary Baptist Church in DeRidder, LA.  Pastor Alvin Peters, Sr. will officiate.

We would like to thank everyone for all their prayers and support.  He will truly be missed by all.
