Virginia Ann Johnson

Virginia Ann Ford Johnson passed away on November 11, 2024, at the age of 72 in DeRidder, Louisiana. She was born in Shreveport on December 11, 1951 to William Ford and Kissie Mae Houston.

Virginia had a passion for simple pleasures. She delighted in spending her days fishing, tending to her garden, nurturing plants and flowers, and cooking up a storm in the kitchen. Those who knew her best often described her as a character - her wit and charm brightening the lives of all fortunate enough to be in her presence.

Though she worked as a homemaker, Virginia's true vocation lay in creating a warm and welcoming home for herself and her loved ones. Her dedication to her family and friends was unwavering, and she leaves behind her beloved siblings, Edward Charles Houston and wife, Fannie of DeRidder, LA; William Ford, Jr., Alicia Johnson and Doreen Ford, all of Houston, TX and a host of loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Virginia was preceded in death by her father, William Ford, mother, Kissie Mae Houston; siblings, Mary Ashworth, Gloria Johnson and Whitney Edwards. 

In honor of Virginia's memory, a private memorial will be held in the coming days. Her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Rest in peace, Virginia Ann Johnson. You will be deeply missed.
