Virginia Perry Averitt

Virginia Perry Averitt, 84, of Merryville, LA, passed from this life on Thursday, August 1, 2024.  

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Rick Perry and Beverly of Merryville, LA, Susan Schiro and Phil of Merryville, LA, Ron Averitt and Glenda of Merryville, LA; brother, Bill Lampin and Pat of Tyler, TX, Jimmy Lampin and Jessie of Longview, TX; sister, Judy Maddox and Jack of Moss Bluff, LA; sister-in-law, Sandra Lampin of Tyler, TX; her dear and faithful friend, Roger Jeane of Evans, LA; six grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

 She was preceded in death by her husbands, Bennie Perry and Bill Averitt; father, Truly Fletcher; mother, Lela Lampin; stepfather, Willie Lampin; mother and father-in-law, Jack and Edith Lackey; brother, James Lampin.

 Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 4, 2024, from 12:00 PM until the time of service at 2:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Brother Tory Dardar will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Burial will follow at Merryville Cemetery in Merryville, LA.
