Vertis March Sr.

Vertis March, Sr., 79, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Tuesday, September 19, 2023.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of thirty-five years, Brenda March of DeRidder, LA; sons, Rickey March, Vertis March, Jr. and Pam, Omar Foster, all of DeRidder, LA; daughters, Roslyn March, Wilanda Sue March, Jane Roberson and William, Stephanie Bryant, Margaret Lyons and Eddie, Sherry Cox And Wayne, Cynthia Carter, all of DeRidder, LA; brothers, Billy Ray March and Louise, Charles March and Hattie, both of Chicago, IL, MacAuther March of Buffalo, NY, Herbert March and Terry of Mineral Wells, TX; sisters, Minnie Lee Sartin of Chicago, IL, Sarah Person of Miami, FL; twenty-six grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren; godchildren, Alicia Sweet, J.J. Crockett, Skylar Collins and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Clinton; grandson, Marcus March, Sr.; parents, Rudolph and Eleanor March; sister, Patricia Wallington.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 9:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM at Grace Church in DeRidder, LA. Pastor Vertis March, Jr. will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Kerry March, Shemar Foster, Isaiah Roberson, William T. Roberson, Jr., Xavier Bryant, Khiry Spikes. Honorary Pallbearers will be Omar Foster, Rodriguez Spikes, Michael Foster, Geary Foster, Chester Vaughn, Van Pierre, Rickey March. Burial will follow at Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
