Versie Beeson Durham

Versie Beeson Durham, born on March 3, 1915, passed away Friday, May 3, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Carpenter House Hospice Center in Baton Rouge.  Versie retired from Bunny Bread in DeRidder and has been living with her granddaughter before her death at the age of 98.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Macie Durham; son, Gerald McDonald; parents, George Beeson and Annie Beeson Miller; siblings, Ernest Beeson, Vera Johnson and Earl Beeson; and great-great granddaughter, Patricia Dees.

She is survived by four grandchildren, Terry Hall, Donna Dees, Traci Roberts, all of Denham Springs, LA, and Jerry McDonald of DeRidder; eight great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.

Visitation and funeral service will be held at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, on Monday, May 6, 2013, with visitation beginning at 9:00am until time of funeral service at 10:00am.  Burial will follow at Blue Branch Cemetery in Pitkin, LA.  Bro. Lyndon Longoria will officiate.
