Funeral Services will be held on Sunday November 29, 2009 at Lille Pentecostal Church at 2:00 PM. Officiating will be Rev. W.T. Shelton Rev. Roger Gill and Rev. Hardy Droddy. Interment will be held at Craft Cemetery, Leesville, LA.

Vernie Midkiff is survived by; Wife Carolyn Midkiff, Leesville La. Daughters:  Rebecca Hicks & David Phillips of Leesville, La.,Tina Duncan and husband Todd of Leesville. La, Crystal Rhame and husband David of Rosepine, La. Brother: Roger Midkiff and wife Patty of Leesville. Sister:  Carolyn Kennedy and husband Bill of Leesville. Rhame; Jessie Rhame; and Dawson Rhame.Grandchildren:  Lacon Shano and husband Timothy, Heather Hicks, Christen (Boo Boo) Duncan; Justin. Great Grandchild:  Brice (Itsy Bitsy) Shano. Vernie Midkiff wa Preceded in Death by: Father, Vernie Midkiff; Mother Avis Midkiff and an infant brother.

He loved to hunt  and fish with grandchildren, riding his buggy with his wife..Loved  to paint, rodeo,  joke and laugh with family and friends
