Vern Thomas Messer

Vern Thomas Messer, 78, of Longville, LA, passed from this life on Tuesday, April 25, 2023.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of ten years, Pam Messer of Longville, LA; daughters, Mechelle Wood and Danny of DeRidder, LA, Angela Wheeler and Erik of Austin, TX; step-sons, Jason Tidwell of Longville, LA, Tony Tidwell and Laura of Moss Bluff, LA;  nephews, Steve Cline and Jenny, Defield Cline and Lisa, Jesse Cline and Christie, all of Princeton, WV; grandchildren, Brittany, Brianna, Chloe, Laurel, Easton, Levi; great grandchildren, Hudson, Daxton and a host of cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Glenda Dunn Messer; granddaughter, Megan Wood; parents, General and Oma Messer; eleven brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023 from 10:00 AM until the time of the graveside service at 11:00 AM at Rosepine Cemetery in Rosepine, LA. Reverend Jon Hair will officiate the service.
