Vashti "Bertha" Hargrove

Vashti “Bertha” Hargrove, 85, of DeRidder, LA passed from this life on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at her home.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Jerome Coleman of Ontario, CA, Lionel Coleman of Grand Terrace, CA, and Timothy Leger and wife Joyce of DeRidder, LA; daughters, Evelyn Conerly, Linda Simon and husband Franklin, and Eloyce Johnson and husband Levi all of DeRidder, LA; brother, Herman Jackson of Pensacola, FL; sisters, Beatrice Acker, and Evelyn Tanton and  husband Willie all of DeRidder, LA; 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husbands, Bobby Lee Hargrove and Louis Wilford Leger; parents, Steve and Viola Cole; sons, Louis Wilford Leger, Jr. and Jeffery Leger; brothers, Bill Jackson and Willie Donnette.

Visitation and Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Starlight Missionary Baptist Church in DeRidder, LA. Visitation will be from 9:00am until 11:00am, with Funeral Services beginning at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Starlight Cemetery.  Rev. Daniel Stafford will officiate.
