Tyesha Shante’ Coleman, 33, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Friday, November 2, 2018.


Tyesha was a fulltime substitute teacher at DeRidder High School. She was planning to graduate from Upper Iowa University in December with a degree in accounting. Her passion was singing and sharing her God given talent with the community.  Tyesha was a member and president of the choir at Antioch Baptist Church in Negreet, LA and a member of the New Willow Baptist Church in Leesville, LA.


Those left to cherish her memory are her parents, Reverend Ronale and Glennis Coleman, Sr. of DeRidder, LA; fiancé, Alvin Jones of DeRidder, LA; brothers, Ronale Coleman, Jr. of DeRidder, LA and McCary Coleman of DeRidder, LA; sisters, Laketha Coleman of Leesville, LA and Beth Johnsrud of Richmond, VA; nephews, Zayden Coleman of Leesville, LA and Brendan Owens of DeRidder, LA; nieces, Riley Coleman of Ferris, TX and Layla Burton of Richmond, VA and a host of other family and friends.


She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Purvis Washington, Matthew Frazier and Vernell “Sister” Coleman and maternal grandparents L. Glendis and Ever Mae Shyne.


Visitation will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at DeRidder High School Gym in DeRidder, LA.  Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 10, 2018 at New Willow Baptist Church in Leesville, LA.  Reverend Ronale Coleman, Sr and Reverend Harrison Fields will officiate the service.  Pallbearers will be DeRidder High School Class of 2013.  Honorary pallbearers will be McCary Coleman, Ronale Coleman, Jr., Alvin Jones, Aundra Coleman, Zayden Coleman, and Brendan Owens. Burial will follow at Walker Cemetery in Gibsland, LA in Claiborne Parish at 12:00 PM on Monday, November 12, 2018.  Services are under the direction of Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.
