Teresa Lynn Simmons

Teresa Lynn Simmons, a beloved mother, daughter, and friend, passed away on August 22, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Clute, TX on March 26, 1961, and was a devoted custodian at East Beaureguard High School, where she touched the lives of many with her warm smile and kind heart.

Terri leaves behind cherished memories of family vacations, trips to the beach, and simple moments of laughter and love. Her gentle spirit and caring nature will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Teresa is survived by Ashley Townsley her children Joshua Burnett of DeRidder, Corey Burnett of DeRidder, LA, Brandi Dowden of Mittie, LA, and 14 grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by, her parents, Rafael Garza and Ramona Garza, her husband Shelby Simmons, her brother Reynaldo Garza, and grandchild Pheonix Burnett, who have gone before her. May they find peace and comfort in each other's embrace.

Cremation has been entrusted to Myers Colonial Funeral Home, and services will be set on a later date by the family.
