Susan Pierce

Susan Pierce, 71, of Singer, LA, passed from this life on Saturday, June 13, 2020.

Susan was known to be very “bossy” at times, making her a born leader. She served as church secretary at Singer Baptist Church for many years.  Gardening and quilting were some of her favorite pastimes. She was very much loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Tammie Daley and Danny of Singer, LA, Sherrie Martinez of Lake Charles; brother, Allen Weaver of Pensacola, FL; sisters, LaWanna Matthews and Douglas of Doyline, LA, Ann Jackson of Plain Dealing, LA; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Bowman, Verna Pickering, Miriam Massie, Gayle Fraizer; brothers-in-law, Ronald Pierce, Carl Pierce, Jr., Donald Pierce; grandchildren, Tyler Martinez, Joshua Caleb Martinez, Jaylin Martinez, all of Starks, LA, Danny Daley, Jr of Groves, TX, Tabatha Walker of Onalaska, TX, Michael Daley of Minot, ND, Kassidy Daley of Humble, TX;  eleven great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Robert Allen Pierce; parents, Joye Belle Jordan, Walter Jordan, Arvill Weaver; brothers, Wayne Weaver, Donnie Weaver.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 15, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Singer Baptist Church in Singer, LA and continue on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at 10:00 AM until time of service at 2:00 PM. Brother Todd Keel will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Richard Pickering, Billy Joe Pickering, Johnny Bowman, Joe Bowman, David Ader, Danny Daley, Jr. Burial will follow at Newlin Cemetery in Singer, LA.
