On 16 December 1964, in Newton, Texas a beautiful baby girl was born to the late Harrison “Pookey” Palmer & to Doris Faye Seastrunk.

On Sunday morning of 17 April 2022, she went to rest and to be with our Lord Jesus Christ.

She attended Leesville High School in Leesville, Louisiana. She also attended Houston Community College in Houston, TX. She obtained her degree in Culinary Arts where she became a Sous Chef. During her time as a Sous Chef, she was able to share her expertise skills in cooking while traveling to various places.

Stephanie had a passion for food. She was very well known for her professional skills of cooking; especially when she would cook for her family & friends’ during gatherings. She was loved by many of her family & friends. She was always willing to help anyone in need. Stephanie always had a laugh & smile that would always brighten up any room.

Stephanie leaves behind to cherish her memories: Husband: Jeffery Oliver Sr. of Danville, VA, two daughters: Lakisha Ruffin (Jay) of Cypress, TX & Latonya Milton of Hammond, GA & one son: Jeffery Oliver, Jr. of Houston, TX. Mother: Doris F. Seastrunk of Deridder LA & 5 grandchildren: Melvin Smith, Shantrice Smith, TyJuan Bracey, Hasan Thompson & Tiana Ruffin.

She also leaves behind her loving sisters: Susie Vallaire (Matthew), Bobbie Franklin, Maxine Stone, Gladys Palmer, Vanessa Myers (John), Diane Palmer & Shirley Allen all of Deridder LA & brothers: Roger Palmer, Sr. (Regina) of Deridder, LA, Tyrone Allen (Anthonette) of Merryville, LA, Oscar “Man” Issac of Belgrade, TX, Reginald Allen of Lake Charles, LA & Cedric Allen (Johnnie Mae) of Merryville, LA. A host of nieces, nephews, relatives & friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving father Harrison “Pookey” Palmer, two grandkids Markell Smith & Melik Smith, one sister Susan Allen Weathers, one brother Russell Allen & one niece Cathy Palmer Taylor.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, 30 April 2022, from 10 AM until the time of service at 11 AM. Services will be held at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Pastor Kenneth R. Seastrunk, Sr. of God’s Way Gospel Church Through Jesus Christ will officiate the service.
