Stanley Brister

Stanley “Stan the Man” Brister, 71, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Tuesday, May 28, 2024.

Those left to cherish his memory are his companion, Renee Brister of DeRidder, LA; daughters, Taylor Scallon and Lesli of DeRidder, LA, Courtney Brister and David Shepard of DeRidder, LA, Kelly Carrico of DeRidder, LA; brothers, Scottie Brister of Junction, LA, James Brister of DeRidder, LA; grandchildren, Juliane, Jayvin, Jalisa, Sean, Racelynn, Conner, Ryleigh, Colton, Lynlee and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Riley and Audrey Brister; brothers, Bud Brister, Steve Brister, Stoney Brister; sisters, Patsy McCleod.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, May 31, 2024, also Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Brother Ross Whitaker will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Randall Mahaffey, Chad Brister, Brad Brister, Corey Brister, Beau Brister, David Shepard. Honorary Pallbearers will be Scottie Brister, James Brister, Lesli Scallon. Burial will follow at Whitaker Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
