Shelia Janiece Dixon

Shelia Janiece Dixson, 57, of Newport, TN, passed from this life on Monday, April 16, 2018.

Shelia loved to read, was awesome at arts and crafts and was a mother to all that needed a little mothering.  She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and NaNa to her grandchildren.  She will truly be missed and forever treasured in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 38 years, Larry Dixson of Newport, TN; daughter, Laura Denae’ Greene & James Scott of Newport, TN; parents, H.C. and Erma Sandefer Myers of DeRidder, LA; brother, Michael Glenn Myers & Debbie of Merryville, LA; sister; Cynthia Scott & Wilson of DeRidder, LA; uncle, Charlie Sandefer of DeRidder, LA; grandchildren: Riley Pearson, Peyton Greene, Savannah Greene and a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2018, from 5:00 – 9:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 23, 2018 also at Myers Colonial Funeral Home.  Reverend Malcolm Seal, Reverend Karl Smith and Reverend Ercel Clark, Jr. will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Whitaker Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
