Shelia Mary Huhn

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shelia Mary Duncan Huhn, age 74, on March 31, 2025, in DeRidder, Louisiana. Shelia was born on December 4, 1950, in Streator, Illinois. Throughout her life, she made a profound impact on everyone who knew her.

Shelia dedicated over fifty years of her life as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), caring for others with compassion and kindness. Her gentle spirit and dedication to the medical field touched countless lives.

Beyond her career, Shelia had a passion for flowers and gardening. She found joy in nurturing her plants and creating beautiful landscapes filled with vibrant blooms. Shopping and sewing were also two of her favorite pastimes, where she let her creativity shine.

Shelia is survived by her son, Larry Libby, Jr. and Nicole of Long Point, IL; daughters, Sherri LaCombe and Carlo of Dry Creek, LA, Raven Wing and Ronald, II of Sabattus, ME, Molly O'Brien of Bath, ME; sisters, Sharon Plocinski and Jerry of WI, Kathy Mitchell and Steven of MO; brother-in-law, Gordon Gray and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends who will carry her memory forward.

Shelia was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Huhn; daughter, Mary Jean Persinger; sisters, Venita Goluba, Cleta Joan Gray; father, Eugene Duncan; mother and stepfather, Lelia and Robert Longnecker.

Cremation has been entrusted to Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.
