Shelby Ray Simmons

Shelby Ray Simmons, 74, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Monday, January 10, 2022.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of twenty-six years, Teresa Simmons of DeRidder, LA; sons, Robin Simmons of DeRidder, LA, Kennith Simmons of Mittie, LA, Joshua Burnett and Savanna Liles of DeRidder, LA, Corey Burnett and Crystal of DeRidder, LA; daughters, Sandy Simmons of Mittie, LA, Ashley Townsley and Michael of DeRidder, LA, Brandi Dowden and Joshua of Mittie, LA; brothers, Darrell Simmons of Mittie, LA, Curt Simmons and Ruthie of DeRidder, LA; sisters, Marilyn Dobson and John of DeRidder, LA, Kayla McMahon of Houston, TX, sixteen grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Phoenix Burnett; father, Shelton Simmons; mother, Elva McMahon.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at The Pentecostals of Mittie Church in Mittie, LA. Brother J.R. Dowden will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Corey Burnett, Joshua Burnett, Justice Burnett, Robin Simmons, Michael Townsley, Darrell Simmons. Burial will follow at Simmons Settlement Cemetery.
