Sandie Whitehead

Sandie Lynn Whitehead, 55, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Wednesday, July 3, 2024.

Sandie loved spending time with her grandchildren and hearing her daughters argue over who was the favorite, knowing the boys didn’t count. In her spare time, she loved playing Bingo and going to the casino. She also enjoyed family vacations to the beach in Florida. She is loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Dusti Comeaux and Michael of Orange, TX, Lynnette Brooke Whitehead of DeRidder, LA, Corey Trumps and Whitney of Lumberton, TX, Aaron Whitehead of DeRidder, LA; father, Gerald McPherson of Deweyville, TX; siblings, Missy Catching of Beaumont, TX, Jerry McPherson and Rebecca of DeQuincy, LA; grandchildren, Brylee, Kaylei, Rylen, Chloe, Kylan, McKenna, Kolby, Christopher, Olivia, Raeleigh and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Whitehead; mother, Trudie Binkley; brother, Scotty McPherson; niece, Rachel Peterson.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 8, 2024, from 12:00 PM until the time of service at 2:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Brother Jason Fortenberry will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Taylor Peterson, Matthew Johnson, Erwin Johnson, Michael Comeaux, Corey Trumps, Richard Trumps. Burial will follow at Old Cypress Cemetery in Rosepine, LA.
