Sammy Joe Johnson, 68, passed from this life onTuesday, December 23, 2008 at DeRidder Retirement and Rehab in DeRidder, Louisiana.  Visitation will begin on Friday, December 26, 2008 from 10 AM until 10 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder and on Saturday, December 27, 2008 from 10 AM until 2 PM at Gravel Hill Baptist Church in Pitkin, Louisiana. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 2 PM at Gravel Hill Baptist Church in Pitkin, Louisiana with Bro. Arlen Smith officiating.  Burial will follow at Drakes Fork Cemetery in Cravens, Louisiana.

Survivors include the following; Wife: Alice Rosie Johnson; Daughters: Brenda Lee Wise of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, Tamara Dawn Johnson of Singer, Louisiana, and Bobbie Jo Johnson-Longlois and husband Louis of Singer, Louisiana;

Grandchildren: Kimberly Maguire, Jimmy Maguire, Tracy Maguire, Austin Johnson, Kyle Trahan, and Juliet Leyva; Great Grandchild: Alaina Lynn Mashtare and Brother: Ottis Johnson of Pitkin, Louisiana.
