Sammy Joe Collins, 59, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at his home.  Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Shannon Wayne Calcote of Wichita Falls, KS; brothers, James Collins and wife Lavada of Hoxie, AR, Ricky collins and wife Jeana of DeRidder, LA, ad Gary Barbee and wife Millie of DeRidder, LA; sisters, Barbara Farris of DeRidder, LA, Diane Johnson and husband Don of Keota, OK, Brenda Franks of Merryville, LA, and JoAnn Faciane and husband Bert of Slidell, LA.  He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Joy Collins; and brother, Larry D. Collins.

Visitation will be held Sunday, November 16, 2014 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  Funeral services are Monday, November 17, 2014 at 11:00am at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Old Cypress Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
