Ruth Taylor

Ruth Ann Dickhute Taylor, 91, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Monday, July 18, 2022.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Richie H. Young, Jr. of DeRidder, LA, Paul Wesley Young, Sr. and Debbie of DeRidder, LA, Gary Shane Young, Sr, and Rebecca of Longville, LA; daughter, Marla Atkinson and Michael of DeRidder, LA; brothers, Donald Dickhute of Alexandria, VA, Kenneth Dickhute and Gladys of San Antonio, TX; nineteen grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Richie Hayse Young, Sr., Lavon D. Taylor; parents, Laverne and Anna Dickhute; brothers, Keith Dickhute, Kenny Dickhute; sisters, Ellen Blankenship, Patsy Carpenter.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 24, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and will continue, Monday, July 25, 2022 at 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 PM at Dry Creek Baptist Church in Dry Creek, LA. Pastor Charlie Bailey will officiate the service and Curt Iles will recite the eulogy.  Pallbearers will be grandsons, Paul Wesley Young, Jr., John Reed, Aaron Armstrong, Richard Martin and great grandsons, Dylan Deason, Payton Deason. Honorary Pallbearer will be great grandson, Lane Martin. Burial will follow at Dry Creek Cemetery in Dry Creek, LA.
