Rosie Linda Thomas

Rosie Linda Thomas, 75, of DeRidder, La, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2023, in a local hospital. Born to a large family, Rosie was the second to last child.

Rosie known as Linda to her family and friends was a true definition of a survivor, overcoming several obstacles.

Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Melvin (Carolyn) Thomas of DeRidder, LA, Bluitt (Sheryl) Thomas of Lake Charles, LA; one sister, Patricia Ann Greer of Killeen, TX; one sister-in-law, Delores Thomas of DeRidder, LA; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, special friend, Rose Mary Williams and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pat Thomas, Sr. and Adlene Thomas; several brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023, from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  Reverend Carl Davis will officiate the service. Honorary pallbearers will be Bluitt Thomas, Melvin Thomas, Leon Freeman, Vincent Jones, Sr.

Services are under the direction of Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.
