Ronnie Black

Ronnie Black, 72, of DeRidder, LA passed away on January 28, 2017.

Ronnie was born in DeRidder on April 23, 1944 to the late Ivan E. and Willie Mae Black. He graduated from DeRidder High School in 1962. After graduating from McNeese State, he served in the US Army. He was a teacher at Morgan City High School for 25 years. Upon retirement, he moved back to DeRidder to be close to family.

Ronnie is survived by his two brothers, Earl R.(Joy) Black, and James G. Black; 3 nephews; 4 great nieces; and 3 great nephews. He was loved by his family and friends and will forever be in our hearts.

Viewing will be held from 9:00 -10:00 a.m. followed by funeral service on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Myers Colonial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery.
