It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald Eugene Eminger, who left us on March 11, 2025, just a few weeks shy of his 80th birthday. A loving husband and father, devoted friend, and passionate follower of Christ, Ron touched the lives of so many throughout his journey.
Born on March 26, 1945, Ron served in the Air Force, proudly representing his country during his time in Thailand at the end of the Vietnam War. After returning home, he found his calling as a counselor for inmates. He was also a Sunday School teacher at Gospel Community Church, where he shared his love of faith and community with countless children and families.
Ron had a zest for life that was contagious. He loved spending time outdoors, especially fishing, and was known for his unwavering support of the Georgia Bulldogs football team-Saturdays during the season were all about cheering for his favorite team!
Ron is survived by his beloved wife of twenty-five years, Andrea Eminger of DeRidder, LA, who was always by his side, sharing in his adventures and passions. Together they created a beautiful life filled with love, faith, and laughter. Ron is also survived by his loving sons, Wes Eminger and Kendall of Guyton, GA, Jess Hodder of Portland, OR; his beautiful grandchildren, Wyatt and Hadley; sister, Nelda Pate of AR and a host of other family and friends.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Lucye Eminger.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate Ron's life.
Rest in peace, Ron. You will be deeply missed but forever in our hearts.
