Robert Joe Shirley, 75, of DeRidder, Louisiana passed from this life on Saturday, February 26, 2011 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 28, 2011 from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church in DeRidder. Bro. Lyndsey Burns and Bro. Lynn Clayton will officiate. Interment will follow at Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder.

Mr. Shirley is survived by Wife of 55 years: Rita S. Shirley of DeRidder, LA; Son: Brian Shirley of Merryville, LA; Daughters: Melanie & husband John Marcello of DeRidder, LA, Melinda & husband Greg Pekol of Denver, CO; Brother: Jerry Shirley of DeRidder, LA; Grandchildren: Reid Hanchey, Brittany Shirley & Brooke Shirley of DeRidder, LA, Samantha Pekol & Jacob Pekol of Denver, CO, Monica Marcello of Houston, TX; Great Grandchildren: Myah Jackson of DeRidder, LA; Sister-in-Law: Paula Shirley of DeRidder, LA.

Preceded in death by Parents - Selene & Mavis Shirley; Brother - Jimmy Shirley.
