Robert James Alexander

Robert James Alexander, 86, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Saturday, January 23, 2021.

Robert spent twenty-five years serving his country in the United States Army, and retired as a Sergeant Major. He enjoyed gardening and shopping, especially at flea markets. His favorite holiday was Christmas, he loved dressing up as Santa Clause. Robert was one of the first Santa’s in Korea and he handed out gifts to the Korean children.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Cynthia Lynn, Roberta Jean and Suzanne Marie; sister, Betty Sue Bennett; caregivers, Richelle, Peggy, Tina, Keisha and Betty; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Nam Sun Kim; parents, Robert and Susie Alexander.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 from 5:00 PM until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Pastor Todd Keel will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be the United States Army Military Honors Team. Burial will follow at Central Louisiana Veteran’s Cemetery in Leesville, LA.
