Robert "Bob" Alston

Robert “Bob” Alston passed away in his home after a brief illness on October 4, 2016. He was a resident of Rosepine and DeRidder.  He was originally from DeRidder and returned from Houston, Texas where he was employed as a senior accountant by Gulf Oil.

He was a beloved member of Grace-DeRidder since 1995, where he served with the Doorkeepers and Aaron Ministries visiting the elderly and shut-ins.  He was also a member of the Beauregard Memorial Hospital Auxiliary as a ‘Blue Coat’ in the Emergency Room.

He is survived by sisters Patricia Stephens, Joyce Risenhoover, Juli Jensen and brother Pat DeRamus.  Preceding him from this life are parents Felix and Lela Alston, brothers:  Van, Lloyd, Billy Wayne, and Alfred Dubose; Michael DeRamus and Dennis Irwin, members of his adoptive and biological families.

His wishes are to have a countryside service at Rosepine Cemetery on Saturday, October 8th   at 10:00 AM with Pastors George Lee Glass and James Glass.  Director:  Myers Colonial Funeral Home.
