Rita "Diddy" Miller

June 12, 1925 - February 21, 2015

Rita “Diddy” Miller, 89, of DeRidder, LA went to be with the Lord on February 21, 2015.  She was born in DeQuincy, LA on June 12, 1925.  She is preceded in death by her husband Samuel J. Miller, Jr.; parents, Wilber E. Jones and Nell Pilley Jones; sister, Willie Rae Owens; nephews, Jimmy Owens and Mitchell Bass; step-grandson, Monte Landers.

She is survived by her son, David W. Miller and wife Linda West Miller of DeRidder, LA; daughter, Joyce Landers of Kilgore, TX; sisters, Marie Berryman and spouse Glen of Jasper, TX, Beth Bledsoe and spouse Edward of Sarasota, FL, and Ann Segrest of Nederland, TX; nieces, Becky Owens Gatewood and spouse Jerry of Jasper, TX, Kathy Owens Hoxsey of Farmington, NM, Lisa Bass English and spouse Mark of Decatur, AL, Kelly Segrest McBride of Nederland, TX; nephews, Paul Berryman and wife Joyce of Woodville, TX, and Tim Berryman and wife Becky of Jasper, TX.  She was a long time member of First Baptist Church and the Pink Ladies at Beauregard Memorial Hospital.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2015 from 4:00pm until 6:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  Funeral service is Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 10:00am at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder.  Rev. Lindsey Burns will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to First Baptist Church building fund or Agape Clinic.
