Merryville, Louisiana

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Regina Ashworth Rudisill, who left us on December 29, 2024, at the age of 75. Born on July 20, 1949, in Singer, Louisiana, Regina spent her life in Merryville, where she was known for her warm spirit and love for her family and friends.

Regina was a devoted homemaker, dedicating her life to caring for her loved ones and creating a warm, welcoming home. She was a longtime member of the Merryville Apostolic Church, where she found joy and community. Her love for connection extended beyond her family; she cherished spending time on the phone with her friends, sharing laughs and stories.

One of Regina's favorite pastimes was attending the Watermelon Festival in Arkansas every year, a cherished vacation tradition that brought her much happiness. She also had a passion for cooking and spent countless hours tending to her beautiful flower gardens, filling her home and heart with the colors of nature.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Kevin Rudisill and Lakresha of Merryville, LA; grandsons, Kaleb and Kanaan, both of Merryville, LA; brothers, Dalton Ashworth and Louise, LeLon Ashworth, all of Baton Rouge, LA; sisters, Murline Doyle of Starks, Margaret Bullitt of Merryville, LA, Carolyn Clark of Sterlington, LA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Rudisill; grandchild, Kelli Grace Rudisill; parents, William and Retha Ashworth.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025, from 1:00 PM until the time of funeral service at 3:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Brother Guy Snyder and Brother James Witmer will officiate the service. A private burial will be held at a later date.

We invite all who knew and loved Regina to join us in celebrating her life and legacy.

In the spirit of Regina's joy in gathering with family and friends, let us come together to share memories and to remember a remarkable woman who touched the hearts of many.
