Raymond Earl “Bones” Maxie , 61, of Hornbeck, LA passed from this life on Wednesday, July 31, 2013.  Those left to cherish his memory are his Son:Raymond Maxie, Jr. and wife Rachael of Witchita Falls, TX: Mother: Vera D. Maxie of Hornbeck, LA: Brother: LeRoy Maxie and wife Carol of Pineville, LA: Sisters: Mary Sharp and husband Johnny of DeRidder, LA and Joyce Davis and husband Mike of Hornbeck, LA. He had 7 nieces, 6 nephews and a host of great nieces and nephews and countless friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence A. Maxie and his brothers, Clarence (C.W.) Maxie and Jerry Joe Maxie.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 2, 2013 from 4-10 PM at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at 3 PM at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Burial will follow at Good Hope Cemetery in Singer, LA.
