Raymond Alfred Strickland

Raymond Alfred Strickland, 62, of Leesville, LA, passed from this life, after a long hard battle with cancer, on Tuesday, February 28, 2023.

Raymond was born on October 10, 1960 in Leesville, LA to Rufus V. Strickland and Bernice Deason Strickland.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Randy Strickland and Dallas of Seattle, WA, Vaughn Strickland of Rosepine, LA; daughters, Caitlyn Strickland of Leesville, LA, Samantha Carroll of Leesville, LA; mother, Bernice Strickland of Rosepine, LA; brother, Richard Strickland and Carol of Rosepine, LA; sisters, Brenda Strickland of Rosepine, LA, Patty Baskin and Don of Fort Collins, CO; grandchildren, Lawson, Avery, Luke, Noah, Carson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rufus Strickland.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, March 3, 2023 also at Myers Colonial Funeral Home. Brother Jeff James will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Garrett Baskin, Dylan Strickland, Cody Strickland, Jacob Hill, Justin McCullough, Jamie Woodard. Burial will follow at Drakes Fork Cemetery in Pitkin, LA.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Raymond’s name to help with expenses at First National Bank DeRidder, LA.
