Ravis Ray Bolton

Ravis Ray Bolton, 57, of DeRidder, LA was born November 20, 1966 and passed from this life on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. Ray was the youngest of thirteen children born to his parents, SFC Amos Bolton, Sr. and Annie L. Bolton

Those left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Eartha Simon, Emma Malachi, Sachincko Hickman, all of DeRidder, LA; brother, Sol Wesley Bolton and Valetta of Canton, GA; sister-in-law, Joann Bolton of DeRidder, LA; honorary family member, Alvin Bickham Wilson of Conroe, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, SFC Amos Bolton, Sr. and Annie L. Bolton; brothers, Ahmos Zu-Bolton, II, James Bolton, Sr., Terry L. Bolton, Marvin Bolton, Sr., Sol Wayne Bolton; sisters, Juantia Major, Kathaleen Grant, Alice Ancie Alberta Bolton.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 PM at New Hope CME Church in DeRidder, LA. Reverend Patrick D. Lewis will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Billy Ray Silas, Ricky Woodard, Earnest Coleman, Sam Harris, Travis Bolton, Saydreion Smith, Chris Bolton. Honorary Pallbearers will be Quincy Major, Ricky Grant, Randy Woods, Frank Jackson, Sr., Jermaine Malachi and the Stewards of New Hope CME Church. Burial will follow at Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.

The family would like to express thanks and gratitude to Comprehensive Care, especially, Inez Delgado, Staff of Companion care, especially, Alicia Olsen, the physicians and staff of Beauregard Health Systems in DeRidder, LA, Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in Lake Charles, LA, Christus St. Patrick Hospital in Lake Charles, University Medical Center in New Orleans and the neighbors in the Twin Lakes community of DeRidder, LA.
