Randy Lee Schaffer

Randy Lee Schaffer, 57, DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on, March 25, 2017.

He loved being outside, playing with his dogs. Building tables and shelves, and just being out in the sunshine.  He enjoyed being with friends, loved his family, and was very proud of them.  He was the best husband to me and the best father to our two daughters.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Paula Schaffer; daughters, Christinya Johnson and Amanda Vallejo; brothers, David D. Schaffer and Gene Paul Schaffer; sister, Mary Helen Jones; grandchildren, Jasmine Johnson, Faith Johnson, Alicia Woods, Percy Arceneaux, Gavin Vallejo and Aiden Vallejo; nephew, Duane Jones, Tim Jones, Jeremy Jones, Davy Schaffer, Adam Schaffer, David Arnold, Matthew Schaffer, Ryan Cochran and Jody Arnold; and nieces, Kathy Schaffer and Tara Arnold.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM and Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 5:00 – 8:00PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  Funeral services were held Friday, March 31, 2017, also at Myers Colonial Funeral Home.  Officiating the funeral were Pastor George Lee Glass and Brother Larry Taylor.
