Raburn A. Matthews

January 24, 1920 - August 20, 2014

Raburn A. Matthews, 94, of Lake Charles, LA, formerly of DeRidder, LA, and having lived most of her life in Merryville, LA, passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2014 in Lake Charles.  She was born on January 24, 1920 in Deweyville, TX.

Raburn is survived by 2 daughters, Melba Collins of Orange, TX, and Lora Andrews of Lake Charles, LA; 4 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

Visitation and Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  Visitation will be from 9:00am until 11:00am.  Funeral Service will begin at 11:00am.  Burial will follow at Merryville Cemetery in Merryville, LA.  Rev. Ricky D. Treece will officiate.

The family wishes to thank Lake Charles Care Center for their loyal, dedicated care of “Miss Raburn” during her years there.
