Merryville, LA

Quintin Matthew Brown Sr., 67 of Plaquemine, Louisiana passed away on Sunday December 1, 2024 peacefully in his daughters home surrounded by his loving family.

Quintin was born March 13, 1957 in Baton Rouge and lived in Plaquemine most of his life. He was a devoted father, brother, grandfather "Papa" cousin and friend. He was a Cajun who never met a stranger. He worked for GEH Enterprises in Beauregard Parish. He enjoyed football, gardening, antiques and was a Nascar enthusiast. He loved everything LSU or Saints. His true passion in life was his family and hoped to get closer to his grandkids before leaving us. He will always be remembered for his outgoing personality and was full of life.

Quintin is survived by his brother Patrick Brown and wife Janis. Mother of his children Vicki Brown. His children Quintin "Matt" Brown of Zachary, Priscilla Brown of Merryville and Clayton Brown of Clinton. Nephew and God Child Derek Brown and wife Angie. Grandkids Makayla, Matiysn, Phoenix, Alena, Brooklyn, Quintin III, and Branson brown. Step grandchild Charlie "Brown" Amrine. Best friends Leslie Lefebre Pierce Dupont and Giles Hickman.

Special thanks to GEH, Beauregard Home health Jamie and Chad. Along with Jill and Lauren with Amedisys hospice. He thanked everyone that was a listening ear. Your care and kindness in his final days provided our family with immense peace. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew him, and while we will miss him deeply we find comfort knowing he is at peace.

It doesn't matter who my father was, it matters who I remember him as.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Cremation has been entrusted to Myers- Colonial Funeral Home.
