Phillip W. Talley, 30, of Merryville, Louisiana passed away on October 9, 2009 in Shreveport, LA.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  Visitation will be at 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA and from 9:00 AM – Service time Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  Bro. Tom Stucke will officiate.  Burial will be at Cold Spring Cemetery in Anacoco, Louisiana.

Phillip is survived by: Wife:  Jessica Chaney Talley of Merryville, LA; Mother:  Bybee and Stan Woodward of Las Cruces, New Mexico; Son:  Austin Wayne Talley of Merryville, LA; Maternal Grandmother:  Mary Lucio of Las Cruces, New Mexico; Maternal Grandfather:  Floyd Earls of Havre De Grace, Maryland

Brothers:  Richard Ludwig, Tom Earls, Joey Talley, RJ Talley, Lynn Woodward, DJ  Woodward, Tyler Woodward, Eric Ludwig, Matt Ludwig and Sam Ludwig.

Phillip was preceded in death by a son, Lyndon Ashby Talley and his father, Rickey Wayne Talley.

Phillip served in the US Army for 9 years.  During that time he spent 1 year on a tour of duty in Iraq.  Phillip was pursuing a degree in Process Engineering at Sowela Technical College in Lake Charles.  He was an avid reader and loved his Harley as well as rebuilding cars.  Phillip was a good husband and father who will be missed greatly.
