DeRidder, LA

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Peggy Sue Hineman Taylor, who left us on November 28, 2024, at the age of 57. Born on March 25, 1967, Peggy was a shining light in the lives of everyone who knew her.

Peggy was a devoted mom, and her son was truly her pride and joy. She had an unbreakable bond with her parents, and family meant the world to her. Whether it was sharing a meal, laughing during game nights, or simply spending time together, Peggy cherished every moment with her loved ones.

A lifelong bookworm, Peggy had a passion for reading and could often be found immersed in her favorite novels or listening to engaging audio books. She also had a love for football - she was a die-hard fan of the LSU Tigers and the New Orleans Saints, always cheering them on with enthusiasm.

Peggy dedicated 14 years of her life to serving in the Army as a Military Police Officer, and her commitment to her country will always be remembered. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she found a strong sense of community and connection.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of thirty-six years, Gregory Taylor of DeRidder, LA; son, Gregory Paul Taylor, Jr. of Austin, TX; parents, Wesley D. and Margaret Hineman of Douglas, WY; brothers, Wes D. Hineman II and Marcie of Casper, WY, Ward Hineman and Alysia of Douglas, WY; sisters, Crystal Burgett of Douglas, WY, Cynthia Back and William of Torrington, WY and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joe and Anna Marie Arellano, Gerald and Tonnette Hineman; aunt, Adelina Arellano; uncles, Edward Arellano, Ward Hineman.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 6:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral Mass will be at 9:00 AM on Friday, December 6, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in DeRidder, LA. Deacon Al Weinnig will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Wes D. Hineman II, Ward Hineman, William Back, Donald Riley, Richard Hinton, Coral Johnson, Johnny Miller. Honorary Pallbearers will be Wesley D.
