Paula Denise Anderson

Paula Denise Branch Anderson, 71, of Leesville, LA, passed from this life on Saturday, August 17, 2024. 

She was a fun, outspoken, free spirit, loving wife, and grandmother. 

Paula always had a smile on her face and a wild idea in her heart. She had three children and took on a bonus child to raise as well. Paula enjoyed fishing and being on the lake, a love she passed down to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Paula held many occupations in her time some of her favorite included tanning salon owner and cosmetologist however her most popular job was being a wife, mother and grandmother. She was affectionately known as “Mamwal” to those around her, including all her grandkids friends. 

Paula loved a wide variety of music from the Backstreet Boys to Merle Haggard, she went dancing any chance she got. She was a part of American Legion Post 27 Ladies Auxiliary for over 25 years she enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casino. Paula loved life and going and running the roads. If she was home too long, she was itching to start a new hobby whether it be clay sculpting, wood burning, or jewelry making. She was the life of any party and always kept others laughing with her wild stories. She will be missed by so many.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Glen C. Anderson of Leesville, LA; sons, Allen Buxton of Rosepine, LA, Steven Buxton and Kimberly of Rosepine, LA, Travis Vernier and Shayna of Rosepine, LA; daughter, Vickie Price and Cliff of Azle, TX; sister-in-law, Patricia Branch of DeRidder, LA; brother-in-law, Tommy Joe Foracker of Ragley, LA; grandchildren, Dustie Smart and Harles, Cory Buxton, Toni Hickman, Taurie Buxton and Colten Bailey, Kaycee Hickman, Ashley McShan and Ray, Joshua Clark and Anna, Emily Badgett and Tyler; great grandchildren, Andie, Kylee, Taliah, Mallorei, Brayden, Adaline, Lacey, Oliver, Tylee, Whitley, Kanton, Owen, Tilly, Roughen, Layton, Carlton, Caenan, Ellie, Callie, Taysom and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey C. and Melba Branch; brothers, Richard Branch, Eugene Branch; sister, Nelda Branch Foracker.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 22, 2024, also at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Brother Zale Lewis and Brother Dalton Isbell will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Josh Clark, Cory Buxton, Harles Smart, Marshal Vernier, Travis Vernier, Tyler Badgett, Colton Bailey. Burial will follow at Old Cypress Cemetery in Rosepine, LA.
