Patsy Nell Farmer

Patsy Nell McDaniel Farmer, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, left this world on April 8, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on October 28, 1940, in Davis, Oklahoma, Patsy made her home in DeRidder, Louisiana, where she became an integral part of her community.

Patsy was a devoted homemaker who found joy in creating a warm, loving environment for her family. Her strong faith was evident in her active participation at Unity Baptist Church, where she cherished attending Sunday School and sharing her love for God with others. She had a heartwarming presence that touched everyone around her, whether through her involvement in the church or during delightful family gatherings.

Patsy adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always finding time to enjoy their company and create cherished memories. She had a knack for crocheting, crafting beautiful pieces that her loved ones will treasure forever.

Patsy is survived by her devoted husband of sixty-two years, Rodney Farmer of DeRidder, LA; sisters, Linda Wheeler of Jonesville, LA, Shirley Frensley and Buddy of Gilmer, TX; grandchildren, Kamryn Johnson, Dillon Sonnier, Russell Farmer, Lacey Renee Johnson; great grandchildren, Dixie LaRae Sonnier, Bowen Harley Huck Frazier, Jaxson Hyatt, Jozie Hyatt and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends who will carry on her legacy of love and kindness.

Patsy was preceded in death by her son, Randall Gregory Farmer; daughters, Kimberly Diane Farmer, Rita Gayle Farmer; parents, Burnis and Ethel McDaniel; siblings, Delois McDaniel, Boyd Lavern McDaniel, Oleta Fischer, Betty Jean Tucker, Burnis Odell McDaniel.

A celebration of life will be held in her honor at Unity Baptist Church in DeRidder, LA on April 17, 2025, at 2:00 PM, preceded by a public viewing from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Pastor Michael Burkes and Brother Sam Carroll will officiate the service. Cremation has been entrusted to Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.

Patsy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
