Former Texas resident, Pastor Leon Anderson, 61, died March 1, 2013.  Pastor Anderson was born June 21, 1951, in Orange, Texas to Ira Daniel and Thelma Marie Anderson.  Pastor Anderson started his ministry from early on at age 12, only to follow in the footsteps of his father.  His ministry spanned over the course of 50 years throughout the USA as well as internationally.  Pastor Anderson served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a military field clerk.  He spent 18 months in Cambodia.  Pastor Anderson came to Louisiana with his wife, Louella, in 1981 where he founded New Testament Apostolic Holiness Church which still stands strong today.  Pastor Anderson spent more than 30 years in Longville.


He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Louella; 2 sons, Michael Leon and Derek; daughter, Krystal Renee and grandchildren, Meagan, Alexis Michelle and Emily Taylor and  host of many nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 4, 2013 at New Testament Apostolic Holiness Church in Longville, LA from 5:00pm until time of service.  Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 10:00am also at New Testament Apostolic Holiness Church.  Burial will follow at Barentine Cemetery in Longville.  Rev. Mack Swain will officiate.
