Norma Whiddon Slaydon

Norma Whiddon Slaydon 89, of DeRidder, LA passed from  this life on Monday, April 12, 2010.  Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church in Merryville, LA with Rev. Lyndon Longoria and Rev. Wayne Squyres officiating.

Norma is survived by son Marvin Leslie Slaydon, Jr. of Baton Rouge, LA, son-in-law Lyndon Longoria of DeRidder, LA, sister Kathleen Lobes of DeRidder, LA and five grandchildren, William Smith and wife Susan of Louisville, KY, pamela Slaydon Brown and husband Tracy of Boone, NC, Kelly Longoria Benoit and husband Chris of DeRidder, LA, Bryan Slaydon of Baton Rouge, LA and Kyle Slaydon of George, TX and 11 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husband Marvin Leslie Slaydon, Sr.; son Bryan Kendall Slaydon; daughter Linda Slaydon Longoria and two sisters, Nona Lawton and Nina Vernon.
