Nora Jane White

The White family is sad to announce the passing of their beloved daughter and sister, Nora Jane White, 69, who had been a long-time resident of DeRidder, LA. She sadly departed on October 24, 2024, leaving behind her cherished sisters, Judy Riley and Luther "Red" of DeRidder, LA, Wendy Moore and Ronnie "#1" of DeRidder, LA and their mother, Leatrice White of DeRidder, LA; her beloved puppy, Bella and a host of special "adopted" babies and family and friends.

Nora, born on December 24, 1954, was known for her warm and loving nature. She worked as a CNA in the medical field and spent her days caring for others. Although she did not have children of her own, Nora had many "adopted" children whom she adored. She was a dedicated member of the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ and found solace in reading the Bible to her ailing mother every evening.

In her free time, Nora enjoyed spending time with family and friends, always ready to share a laugh or two. She had a passion for collecting roosters, clothes, purses, and shoes. Nora had a green thumb and loved tending to her flowers and plants. She also found joy in fishing and cherished the moments spent with her beloved puppy.

The funeral services for Nora Jane White will be held at the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ in DeRidder, LA on Monday, October 28, 2024. A public viewing will take place at 11:00 am, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 pm. Brother Clyde Snider will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Burial will follow the service at Whitaker Cemetery in DeRidder, LA. Let us come together to celebrate the life of Nora, a loving soul who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.

Nora was preceded in death by her father, James T. White; sister, Sharon Gail White; brothers, James "Jimbo" White, Jr. and Troy Clinton White.
