Neva Lee Burgess

Mrs. Neva Lee Burgess 70, of Singer passed away on Friday, February 13, 2009 in DeRidder, LA. Mrs. Burgess was born in Singer, LA on March 7, 1938. She was a member of Smokey Cove Pentecostal Church in Singer. She was a retired School Bus Driver.

Mrs. Burgess is survived by Sons: Winston Burgess and wife Sherry of Singer, Jimmy Wayne Burgess and wife Ethyl of DeQuincy, and Marshall “Toad” Burgess and wife Polly of Singer, and Ronnie Burgess of Point Blank, TX. Nine Grandchildren and Twelve Great Grandchildren. Preceded in death by: Husband: Randall “Bob” Burgess; Father: Maxie Carter; Mother: Opal Buxton Carter; and Beloved Aunt: Frances Burgess.

Visitation will be held at Singer United Pentecostal Church in Singer on Saturday, February 14, 2009 from 5 PM until 9 PM and again on Sunday, February 15, 2009 from 10 AM until time of service.  Her funeral will be held Sunday; February 15, 2009 at 3 O’Clock at Singer Pentecostal Church. Rev. George Smith and Rev. Donnis Ashworth will officiate. Burial will follow in Good Hope Cemetery in Singer, LA.
