Nawasa LaJuan Reeves Gill, 76, of Dry Creek, LA, passed from this life on Wednesday, December 22, 2021.

LaJuan was born in Dry Creek, LA.  After many years of living away she and her husband moved back to Dry Creek on her family’s property in 1985.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Vance Gill and Tammy of Dry Creek, LA; daughters, Theresa Reeves and Walter of Dry Creek, LA, Shonda Bernard and Ricky of College Station, TX; sisters, Monica Wilson of Nederland, TX, Veronica Whitethorn of Bremerton, WA; sister-in-law, Clare Reeves of Dry Creek, LA; special niece, Lyssa Reeves of Dry Creek, LA; grandchildren, Brent, Corey, Lauran, Tabitha, Tiffany, Katie, Brady, Christopher, Ava, Karlie; great grandchildren, Dakota, Demi, Jake, Blake, Carrie, Kyler, Max, Tevin, Jayde, Lilly-Anne, Cora, Presley, Jax and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett E. Gill; father, Floyd E. Reeves; mother, Clytie Tyler Reeves; brothers, Rodney D. Reeves, Donald Ray Reeves; sister, Mona O’Dell Reeves.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 30, 2021. Pallbearers will be Brent Martin, Corey Young, Brady Cooley, Christopher Reeves, Roy Benavides, Dale Reeves. Honorary Pallbearers will be Katie Young, Tabitha Nolen and Karlie Young. Burial will follow at Shiloh Baptist Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
